Tilmann Dehnhard is no stranger to KlangRäume. Already with his solo CD for flute "Breath" (CD 30460) he succeeded in making his mark. In the meantime, Dehnhard has come to own the smallest and largest flutes on the planet — and he plays them with virtuosity. And yet Tilmann Dehnhard has far more than his transverse, alto, bass and overtone flutes. He has his voice, which he uses to hum intervals for his flute tones, as well as his fingers, which can even sometimes serve as percussion during the trills. Sometimes all at once.On this foundation, intensive musical forms are structured which Dehnhard moulds vibrantly with his breathing. Elegantly blended into this are Kai Brückner’s crisply precise and yet floating guitar, as well as a rhythm section (Paul Kleber on keyboards and Sebastian Merk on drums) that truly deserves its name.
Once you’ve started to listen to this CD, you won’t find it easy to stop. Why is that? Because music is alway.
